LUNA Lofts

This 1930s building in North Oakland was originally built to house a car dealership. Taking full advantage of the sprawling space, with deep concrete beams and covering 21,000sf, fourteen lofts were created: four units along the storefront, six stacked along the rear alley and four gigantic landlocked spaces in the core, lit by huge industrial skylights. Left rough, with concrete and tile exposed, lofts were built with sliding translucent doors, Ikea kitchens and stamped metal stairs.
